just been doing a bit more googling and seems like it - suggestion about getting power to starter motor from underneath the car (its sitting a normal height and I'm a skinny wee runt - so might be able to reach it). Any thoughts?

mmh - that was my other job tonight as the towing ecu arrived today as well so in future would be an option but not tonight I'm afraid............ flamin typical, came home early to get all these jobs done. Other suggestion on line is the side indicator - got that out without any issue.

Success with using the new battery, connected to a bit of pared back live wire on the side indicator - left it 2 mins and hey presto doors unlocked with the remote no problem. Razz Not that clever usually so feel like I deserve a wee dram tonight......... Will get the new battery on tomorrow - not going to push my luck tonight! Anyhting I need to be aware of when connecting up the new one? (apart from the left to right full lock once its going).

Without staying the obvious, just make sure the new battery is a) quality and b) man enough for the job. The electrics on the FFRR are ultra sensitive to strong voltages.

You also need to look at your drivers door lock to ensure you're not caught out again. Thumbs Up 2006 4.2 SC

Also need to find out if there is a fault which drained the battery, or your new one will just go flat and be ruined....

Search final stage resistor on here as a starter for ten.... 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

hope so - thats the parking sensors front and rear working as well, 2 faulty sensors and a broken wire. Just tow bar electrics, mud flaps and digi Tv upgrade to tackle now, latter might need to wait a bit longer
