petrol will be no more than £129.7 per litre and diesel no more than £134.7 per litre..

In the Netherlands diesel is about 0,30 Euro cheaper per liter then petrol... Mike.

Ah, that would be the laws of supply and demand. There are many more diesel cars than petrol so the companies charge more for it. Like us consumers have a choice

Happened a few years back when petrol prices started to rise. Many people realised diesels where more economical. So lo and behold the government raised the price of diesel. Fewer people bought petrol so they had to claw it back somehow. Amazes me how some of these people sleep at night, same people that ordered an enquiry into fuel price fixing. Guess what??? The government department found no evidence of unfair fuel pricing massive shock!

All of them corrupt to the core. Red or blue they're as dirty as Jordan on a hen do.

Well over here the Government is charging tax over tax over tax on the net fuel prices driving up the prices and filling up their pockets. For petrol the price per liter consists for 60% of tax and for diesel about 51% of the liter price is tax... Rediculous!!!  Mike.

Think the tax on fuel in UK is even higher than that MY11 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - "African Queen"

You're all getting reamed by the government under the motto "cars are soooooo bad for the environment" but reality is, they need the money to cover their deficits !!!

We're getting reamed here since the fuel subsidy (yes the opposite of taxing) has been dropped. Over here petrol and diesel (same price) are about a 30% of what you pay and it is soooo expensive because it is imported from a.o. Europe !!!!! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

As I pulled on the forecourt, there was a 1984 Bentley Brooklands (it looked superb) - I decided not to pull behind as I thought he might be a while.

The old chap in the Flying B was very upbeat about it !

It was worth it - he was a keen driver and nearly lit up the back tyres onto the road - God Lad !
