I've picked up my new (to me) 2006 4.2 SC now and I want to make sure it's got the best chance of being reliable. I've picked up a few jobs that need doing already and I've made a list of a couple of jobs that I think should be done (based on reading these forums). Can you guys comment on my list? It's on 93k miles with a FSH.

To fix:
Reverse camera - Replace with 2010 item.
Slight clunk at front on full lock when shifting between D and R - Identified as track rod. I'll sort this at the weekend.

Preventative maintenance:
Replace supercharger belt
Replace transmission cooler, filter and flush/replace fluid
Drain and replace coolant
Check SC waterpump is wired the correct way round

Maybe check the rear washer/wiper for leaks/signs of leaks by removing the plastic trim at the top of the tailgate ( you will be removing this to do the camera anyway) . If there are any water marks on the plastic, it would be a good idea to replace the nrv and carry out the seal repair detailed elsewhere on the forum

Put it in your garage and remove the wheels!
