Should mirrors fold when you lock the car or is this a feature in later cars? Mine is 2009. Wondered if it is a switchable function as I am sure my 2002 Vogue did this.

I think the key can be programmed to do this/ doubtless someone will confirm or correct me...

I have played around with the settings using the Faultmate and indeed, not available on MY2006 and older. Not sure about the newer models, I will have a look later to see if I can find the option.

I do think that some people using the Intravee have been able to activate it. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

if the feature isnt there in the first place [original equipment] then it cant be activated.. ... - .- -.

you can get that feature if you have an intravee, my 54 vogue does it on every lock, all you need to do is turn it on in the functions on intravee.

Intravee - computer/code reader thingy that can communicate with your car. It can be used for diagnosis, software updates, and editing personal preferences on your car (e.g. Day time running lights, auto lock on engaging drive, etc).

Actually, the Intravee's main purpose is to connect an iPod / iPhone to the non-touch screen infotainment system (<2005). Despite the fact that it was made for this purpose - its function and design allowed it to perform other tasks (such as auto-folding easily and the manufacturer added these functions to later firmware. (It can't be used for diagnostics, updates or changing the car's configuration - that would be either our IIDTool, BBS Faultmate, or a professional system ).
It was manufactured by a small co called Intravention UK - who's founder and proprietor died rather suddenly and unfortunately last year - so if they are still available new, it's only NOS. They turn up on ebay regularly, tho.

LR never saw the need to have auto-folding on lock, and unless your 02 had an add-on module to enable auto-folding, it did not do this. This function was also never programmed into the BCM SW - so it can not be activated by editing the CCF (car configuration file) with a diagnostic system. The only way to make it work is through an add-on module. Unfortunately AFAIK no add-on modules exist for RR's 2006>. The CAn protocolls were changed and earlier systems such as the Intravee do not work on later vehicles.

We were thinking about doing something along these lines - we already have a small module that fits the hardware requirements perfectly...

Talking of running lights should my 02 model have light sensitive headlamps? I have auto rain sensitive wipers and I thought these came as a package?
