Coronation Festival

Today I am off to Buckingham Palace as a guest of JLR for the Royal Preview day of the Coronation Festival, a day where no members of the public are allowed in, awesome!

There's quite strict security, had to supply lots of details in advance so that Mi5 can do background checks I guess Cool

Just heard on the news about it and the Queen is definitely there today, hope I don't do a Mr Bean...

If you see the Queen please ask her when she's going to return my lawn mower.

It was truly awesome, so fantastic.

If you want to see highlights, watch BBC one and BBC One HD on Saturday at 7pm. Will be available on iPlayer afterwards too.

I met Quentin Wilson (loves his jags doesn't he). JLR had the lion's share of the coverage, and got a nice goody bag too Very Happy

I couldn't help noticing the juxtaposition of Pippa Middleton and royal box.

Coincidence? I think not.

Looks like you had a splendid time.

I too was lucky enough to be invited by JLR to last Fridays Coronation Festival Royal Preview event

Met Adam (RRUK) at the drinks reception in St James's Palace then on to Buckingham Palace for the main event

Spent some time chatting to Richard Else the operations director of JLR in Halewood, who was sat at the next table to us in the Land Rover marquee, very nice chap.

Good job we were staying in London overnight!

The blonde one downs yet another glass of champers

The Feeling played a great set

The very first Landy on display................................I so want a series 1 Very Happy

The Queens Land Rovers where on show, a nice 74 Classic RR & a very nice 54 series 1 86"

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green  Life should be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving skidding in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO what a ride!
