Wheelnuts

Just had to use the wheel brace supplied in the boot to get a rear wheel off. Guess what it does not fit? the wheelnuts have a thin chrome plated cover on them and it is buckled slightly by a previous removal and the full 6 point brace does not go fully over two of the nuts. (it goes over the other two and the lock nut )

After investigation - a 22mm 12 point socket goes over them all no problem but I obviously didn't have that in the car?

I have been round the rest of the wheels with the brace ad it only fits half of the wheelnuts on the car???

I think I need a new full set or carry a 22mm 12 point socket and brace in the car!

Anyone else had this problem?

It's rust under the chrome covers swelling them. It's a known fault, got mine replaced under warranty on my last RR. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
