England 2002 Range Rover HSE Td6 Oslo Blue
lots of black sooty smoke

just done a fuel,air and crank case filter change now getting a smoke screen oo7 would be proud of.....

can any one shed some light pls

52 plate td6 have hawkeye diagnostics for l322 td6 in the manchester area ,pm for deatalis.

Assuming it wasn’t smoking before you did the filters I would check the crankcase breather again. If you just put a new foam filter into the old hosing it’s possible the valve in the crankcase breather is jammed, I would get a new casing and a vortex filter which doesn’t gum up.............you can do a search on here for the vortex option

My car did this all of a sudden. What state is your inlet manifold in. Mine had about 5mm build up of soot and after I cleaned it the following black cloud disappeared. Others have had this issue.

think ive sorted it ,cleaned out the crank case breather valve and put another new air filter on ,only blows a bit of smoke from standing start so happy with that . what's the best oil to use as going to do an oil change next week. have hawkeye diagnostics for l322 td6 in the manchester area ,pm for deatalis.
