LED side lights

Hi Y'all
Doe anyone know if those aftermarket LED side lights you can get will work on the FFRR? They just look a lot better next to the headlight xenons, and not sure if they'll throw up any glitches as I don't want Dick Turpin at the main dealer relieving me of yet more beer tokens....

Remember........you're always in the s***......it's just the depth that varies Whistle

Which ones are you looking at ?

I have fitted the LED ones to my '02 and apart from some blinking on startup they have been fine with no errors thrown in the message centre. No problems with "my" MOT guy either. (sorry got them so long ago on eBay no Purchase history for them to show example) stan wil know Wink .

I bought a pair of 'non canbus' LED sidelights from Halfords £9 a pair. They are great in dim light or at night time, however they are not very noticeable in full daylight. I'm going to be fitting a set of LED daytime running lights to my FF soon. When I do I'll post a full thread with pics on it.

I fitted a set of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181128879662?ssP...1438.l2649 They are a bit more costly but in my opinion look better in the clear headlight assembly than most I have seen.

Colour temp wise they are around 4500k to 5000k so just slightly more blue white than the HIDs. As these use the latest 5630 LED's they are a lot brighter than previous 5050 LED's. They are also much smaller than some of the other types out there.

One word of warning if you don't want bright side lights then steer away from this one, they are very bright. I have had no canbus issues with them and the only issue I noted was the initial flashing several times when you turn on the ignition.

These are the ones I ordered. 13 LEDs on each one. No flicker on start up.
