Thought she was a Radio 1 DJ and not a car dealer? Laughing Si. <This is my name.

Back home now Gaz arrived home late last night ( Thank Christ ) ... Wife wants to go back over in October for a couple of weeks (B Censored S to that ) ... Anyhow 5.0 Litre SC's are out the window so to speak as the FF might be a tad on the small side may have to get myself a 7 seater ... Embarassed

Wife and Daughter are trying to talk me round of getting shot of the Range Rover due to the arrival of our Granddaughter whom is 1 year old and how can someone so small have so much baggage ...

So they reckon it would be cheaper to get one car rather than take two cars everywhere whenever we are all going somewhere .... Shocked

Mick. Don't. Just don't. Rolling Eyes

I miss the FFRR EVERY DAMN DAY. Yes, the V8 Disco is lovely, has 7 seats, plenty of boot space for all her clobber essential items, and everything's good, right.

Except I miss the Full Fat.

Get a roofbox. Nuff said. Thumbs Up

7 seats in the new sport.... Whistle
Some years ago I got a new zafira as I thought with the kids it would be great. It was a poor car. The kids felt travel sick all the time as it went round corners like a ship in high seas. The theory in getting a seven seater is sound, but try before you buy obviously. Also, with the 7 seats up, the boot space left was pants.. Previously..

Just hire a car with driver when you all go on a trip and get yourself a 5.0 SC. B Censored cks that you have to drive in a crap car for the few times they hitch along. Let them get a 7 seater and drive as well. Or follow/lead them in the FFRR just you, your own music and nobody nagging (make sure the phone is "not working").

We have the 8 seater company car (Toyota Landcruiser) for the "mundane" stuff and the FFRR for me and weekend drives Smile

About the wife in the roofbox : spoilsport Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Erm, no. It's a 5+2. Nothing over 3 foot tall can get into seats 6 & 7.

Just buy a cheap Zafira (people must be giving them away by now) or Espace or the likes or a VW van (and call it a nostalgic and iconic car and don't forget the flowers on it) as your second "car". Then when you are travelling with the clan, you take the crap car and when you are on your own (and after one trip in the crap car you may be Smile ) you travel in style. Oh and if you get the VW van, don't forget the 60s flower power long hair wig with pony tail.

I think my next project will be to set up a care home for EX Range Rover owners. 6-9 months rest and recuperation to get over the shock and avoid the evil grinning wife. Whistle

I will call it the "The Range" Thumbs Up

It will have Range Rover courtesy cars of course Laughing

Oh give me a home where landrovers roam,
Where the mick's and the gazellio's play,
Where seldom is heard a swearing drunken word,
And the fullfats are being washed all day.

Home, home on the range,
Where the mick's and the gazellio's play,
Where seldom is heard a swearing drunken word,
And the fullfats are being washed all day.
