My sat nav is in what I understand to be the default state, which means I can't program it with an address while the car is moving. If I am not moving, I can. As I understand it a dealer can change a setting that allows programming whilst in motion - is that right for all years of sat nav DVDs though, or only for some (or is there a bit more to the process than what I've outlined).

I've also noticed that the TV will give me a moving picture from ignition turn on until I move off. Then
- whilst the car is moving I can't change channels and get a grey screen
- if the car stops (at eg traffic lights or in a queue) I can change channels but still get the grey screen.

What I *don't* want is picture in motion. But I would like to be able to change channels whilst moving, and I'd also like the picture to come back when the car is stationary, without having to kill the ignition and restart it.

Any idea if either of these can be achieved, and if so how?

if you have the correct firmware then the IIDTol can active the 'nav on the move' option..

i think you need to put the range back into 'park' to access the tv again.. ... - .- -.

IIDTools are vin locked, tbh they are a worthwhile investment cos you never know when you will have to clear that dreaded suspension error and a trip to the dealers will cost you.. ... - .- -.
