Front fog lamp bulb replacement

I have used the search function but the amount of info is overwhelming so I want to ask 2 simple questions -

Are the front fog lamps on a TD6 facelift H11 fitting?
Can you use a xenon type replacement in the fog lamp housing which I believe has a plastic lens.

I realise that a more yellow light cuts through fog but I'm after a whiter light.

From recollection the 2006 does use H11 fitting 55 watt bulb for the fog lights. Not sure about the xenon types you could use though.

get white halogen h11 bulbs from ebay..cost about £6 for the pair..

or go led/smd...be careful on the size of the bulb as the light hole is small and the larger smd bulbs dont fit.. ... - .- -.
