Is there a way to turn off the rear interior lights while the tailgate is open? There are occasions when I would like to leave the tailgate open for prolonged periods of time, and I do not want the lights illuminated.

I know the front interior lights can be turned off, but I have not found a way to turn off the rear lights.

I own a 2006 HSE.

the manaul says hold the main front button in for more than 3 seconds to switch all the lights, if this doesnt work then just take the bulb out. ... - .- -.

I will try the 3 second option as soon as I recharge the battery. It will be nice if this turns off the rear lamps, and does not disable the automatic illumination feature for the front lamps only.

I should order a IID tool. I know it will be wise investment.
