Suspension Fault - Rear on the Bump Stops

I’ve a reoccurring suspension fault that the dealer cannot find. Original problem used to occur when driving, Bong – Suspension Fault 30MPH Max”
The dealer checked the system and could only find two faults:- “C1A07 RLM Cross articulation” and a fault relating to the rear offside height sensor, which has now been replaced. He has checked for leaks and cable chafes, and the diagnostics he uses has confirmed everything is within parameters and at the moment, this problem seems to have abated.

I still see a fluctuation on the 4x4 display in the dash relating to this sensor, but I don’t know how accurate this is.

The problem I have now is that periodically the back-end will drop to the bump-stops. Not a gradual slow descent symptomatic of a leak, but a sudden deflation and hiss of air, almost as if a valve had opened.

The car has been standing since the weekend, and performed this little “trick” as I walked past it today. The deflation is so rapid that the sudden stop at the bottom causes the alarm to trip.

If I start the car, it rises to the correct height and performs as it should.

I’m starting to think that both problems could be wiring/water ingress related as they seem to disappear during the dry weather.

Before I start pulling the wiring apart and replacing the sensor looms, do you think I’m in the right area?
