Servicing

Hello. Can anyone tell me how the range rover compares to the D3 for servicing costs? I'm looking to buy a TDV8 vogue se on something like 07 or 08 plate. Is there a big service with belt changes like the Disco? Thanks in advance for any info. Thumbs Up

Hi, we have an 08my vogue se tdv8. Using our friendly main dealer (with two cases of grolsh in the boot) I pay 250 for an oil service and 400 for insp 1 and 2. Just paid 103 for and mot and transfer case oil change. Anything like brakes I buy from Yeovil land rover and fit myself.

Dont think there is a difference between inspection 1 and 2. That is a throwback to the bmw type service schedule for the td6. Just paid 530 at main dealer for inspection service, no beer in the boot tho. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Inspection 2 on my 2007 tdv8 VSE was £571

Independent all the way next time. Dry humped springs to mind.

Just had a Service 1 done by JD Automotive of Northwich for an excellent price. Had all the latest Software updates done (including transmission). Vehicle received back in good order with the guy impressed at how well screwed together the beast was and that it had obviously been well looked after by previous owner! Will find out over the next few days if there are any glitches after updates! Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)
