Does that mean you are seeing the plan through or you are not? Personally I salute your idea and the fact that you were even considering something so completely bonkers. ![]() |

![]() I think that is the standard response a LR dealership gives in any circumstance? - Servicing, warranty work or any other enquiry... ![]() @ VogueDiesel - Like the other forum members, I think you are a bit of a lunatic to even consider doing what you are thinking about doing ![]() ![]() ... if you do manage to pull it off ![]() ![]() GOOD LUCK ![]() Last edited by delamo on 5th Jul 2010 3:12pm. this has already been tried and extensively covered on another RR forum about 3 years ago. The chap got the motor installed and then abandoned it - there was no way he could mate it to the gearbox or get it to run - to much derision from forum members and a waste of a huge amount of time and cash.

Red rag to a bull for me saying something can't be done... then again the Jag engine I put in my series II only cost £50 so its not quite the same unless you've won the lottery and are.....nope.. |

Sell the car and buy a petrol V8? The mpg isn't all that different and coupled with the price difference of the purchase price plus difference in the cost of fuel.

that is possible you would need to uprate the fuel pump and find someone that can re-programe your ecu but id say a lot less bonkers than the first idea mentioned in this thread....but could you not just change the turbo for a bigger one get a new manifold fabricated to fit it and then youll have the same effect "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"
