Moped woe

Any Idea???
Bought the lad a Moped it's got a Honda copy 4 stroke GY6 50 cc engine which is generic to these Chinese mopeds.
I bought it as a none runner with an electrical fault.
Found that the magneto had been damaged by someone fitting to long a bolt to the fan thats fitted to the flywheel. easy fix?

No! we have now
replaced the magneto
replaced the piston
replaced the exhaust valve
Had it running but it spat the drive belt off (CVT gearbox). Censored
After I changed belt I cant get it to fire at all! Big Cry
got a spark
good compression
and as far as I can tell fuel
but will the little Censored Censored start.
It's not an expensive hobby as every part is on e bay for about £6 but I have hurt my feet from trying to kick start it!

Any idea's before scrapman has it. (other than dont buy a chinese moped)

cheers Andy Mine was a blue one! Smile

not sure if it helps but is there a key on the shaft fixing the magneto in place for correct timing? Had this problem with my ride-on mower.

Thanks Mark
Wondered that? the magneto stator can fit in two positions so does it make a difference. The flywheel is keyed so cant be wrong. I forgot to notice where coils were on old magneto when I took it off Mine was a blue one! Smile
