I don't know. I need to dismantle this, so ideally quite a few of them of varying sizes from 1 inch up.

What country of origin and age is the engine?

It's a Bristol Hercules from the late 1940's Martin. I do have a manual and could plough through it to find all the various sizes but I thought I'd just get a socket set!

OK, in that case the bolts may be Whitworth (BSW) rather than imperial AF. Not totally au fait with aero engines though Confused

Hmm, I had no idea there are so many different kinds. I thought there was just metric and imperial.

Thanks, I guess I need to do more research before I place my order!
