EPB Failure and Flashing brake lights :(

Hi,

Can anyone help or point me at a resource? My EPB warning light is on, got the AMBER and Flashing RED. IID shows up general electrical failure and can't reset the fault. Checked the fuse, no difference. Where is the connector under the vehicle? I guess I need to check it's ok - the urgency for this is the fact that my rear brake lights are flashing like a police car while the engine is running and I will have to drive home in the dark!!!!! Land Rover Addict

Yes - it doesn't engage (no motor noise, no clonks, no whirrs, nothing). Lights came on while driving, not when parked or anything. Land Rover Addict

Disabled my DRL's and the EPB worked - then about 30 minutes later failed.

At key on - engine off - my battery reads 11.5v - is this too low? Land Rover Addict

slightly, try a drop test on the battery to see if you have any dead cells.. ... - .- -.

It's the original battery from 2006 - so I'm going to take the plunge and order a new one..... Land Rover Addict

No faults logged on the LCM - only the Parking Brake ECU and the TMC (always there). Land Rover Addict

I pretty much always have the TMC antenna fault - but it works fine.

TMC isn't the problem and has always registered an antenna fault even though it works Smile Land Rover Addict

Mine too - although it sometimes required re-tuning

Well I am baffled. Had the battery tested, all fine and no need to replace. While there also re-ran fault clearing routine on IID - all cleared. Now I don't get a blank status message on first start (i.e. it doesn't remember which trip option to show, such as TIME, RANGE etc) and it seems very happy. No errors logged for EPB any more and battery seems to be like new Rolling with laughter Got to love Land Rovers! Land Rover Addict
