Wing Mirror Upgrade

Hello Everybody. My drivers side wing mirror needs replacing. The glass has been broken, casing cracked and does not fold in anymore.

I was just wondering if anyone on here had upgraded their wing mirrors to the newer colour coded type on an early l322?

Not sure if it can be done, but CTC may know.

If you do replace with newer, I may be interested in your passenger side mirror if it all works Wink .

05-09 mirrors will fit (plug & play) to the 02-05 cars but the mirrors wont powerfold in correctly without the 05> window switch pack (different software?)

The 09 onwards mirrors wont fit the earlier cars at all Thumbs Up

Thanks for the quick response guys.

Craig- how do I go about upgrading the window switch pack? if I manage to find a pair of mirrors

The switches you press in the top of the door panel are the switch pack... Has a built in ECU so needs to be changed to an 05> one (which looks identical but has a different part no)

as Craig said, are plun and play, (up my09) but not close properly, without the switch pack
two days ago, I fitted two brand new mirrors type my06, and work correctly ,but not powerfold function properly.
yesterday I fitted all door cards from MY10 donor and now close properly. Than could be the sw, or something else, ... I will investigate because
fron electrical wiring diagrams, must work right , but it is not so, only about folding function.
