Christmas

Just a thought, Most of us FF owners either own our own companies or have high end stressful jobs & Christmas is one time we all get a little time to escape the pressures of what we do. My wife & I given our kids are more interested in spending time with their partners than us means it is a time for a bit of relaxation for ourselves. We were considering a road trip around Scotland between Boxing day & New Years eve. Obviously the Roads around the highlands can be fun around that time of year but fantastic scenery, great company & obviously good accomadation (SHMBO) has found a rather nice castle but maybe some rather nice lodges with open fires & a wee dram after a day of exploring could be rather fun? Worse things happen at sea! Well thats what swmbo said when WRENS came to sea!!!

Sounds great, we went down to Cornwall last Christmas and loved it. We stayed in a house in Rock (opposite Padstow) Regards

Yes, completely agree. I have a high pressure job and so does SWMBO. Then we she also runs a small business ('cos my employment contract prohibits me getting involved) so come rest/play time we love to get away and do something different. Generally we use the caravan as we like to take the dogs but as you say, getting away is the best bit. Oh and we take the PAYG "Holiday" phone. Our regular mobiles are left at home. Thumbs Up

What does the 'H' stand for?

Sounds a good idea by the way.

Always nice to get away, unfortunitely I am away with work again this year!

Sounds like a good idea for a little tour around Scotland.

It's who's standing on the glass roof that's important Craig. Wink

Unfortunately, having been divorced and re married, our family is quite large and spread out (met a girl from "pop norf") so we will be having 16 people for xmas lunch..! with our kids (x6), parents, sister (and hubby/kids) and in laws it will be quite a full on day.

I do enjoy having all the family round but it's hard work (at least for Mrs C Laughing ) Would be nice for just the 2 of us to Censored off somewhere nice and have a quiet time but it wouldn't feel like Christmas I don't think.

(Can't beat a family row and tears/tantrums) Shocked Ash
