Rear light problem

I've got a problem with my rear near side light. The lamp with the double filament is working but the lamp is very dull when compared to the other lamps and I also get a warning on the dash. I have cleaned all the contacts and checked the wiring.

Any ideas? I also have bought a recon LCM to be fitted as I often get spurious warnings of lamp defects.

Cheers What has fallen off today:-)

Yes changed the lamps, any idea where the earthing point is? The strange thing is the lamp starts bright then dulls down. What has fallen off today:-)

Sounds like a bad connection - Try checking with a voltmeter

It's possible you have an earth fault in the bulb holder or adjacent mounting.
It sounds as thought one filament is earthing thro the other filament and its earth due to a problem with the first's earth, hence the bulb appears dim.

I've changed the lamp holder but the problem is there, going to see if I can get a wiring loom changed as the earth points seem ok. Got a good diagram from V8 saint on another forum. What has fallen off today:-)
