FBH AGAIN on my Td6 2004

Right set the timer for this to come on as its was going to be frost overnight.
The light went orange and was on all night and still on when i got in the car today.
Car was iced up on front and back screens when i got in.
Don't seem to want to come on Crying or Very sad
The build sheet says its got remote heating but the guy i got the car off said there was a fob as he remembered but could not find it.
Do i need a new one to get the system working, or should it still work on the timer.
What do i check first please.

It will def work off the timer. Does your FBH come on in its aux heat function? At under 5°C (? or 7° - always forget Rolling Eyes ) if you drive for about 4-5 mins and shut the car back off, you'll hear the FBH whining away and you should see some smoke/steam vapors under the front of the RR. Inside the vehicle you'll also be able to hear the ticking of the fuel pump from under the rear seat (not very loud). Or, with a cold car set the timer for a min or 2 later and wait. The start sequence takes about 1-2 mins: glow plug heats for 30-45 secs, then the fuel pum starts ticking for ~5secs, then you should hear the combustion air fan start whirring. The tone will change a few seconds later as the FBH ignites - sounds a bit like a small jet engine. If your FBH works, park heat should work as well.

If you have the receiver, you can buy a remote on ebay (ebay.de has better prices - use google translate and find a seller who accepts Paypal) and use that as well. I'd check to make sure you actually have the receiver first tho: open the right rear electrics compartment (boot) and look for the receiver module. You'll have a T80/90. It has a long black connector with 3 wires on one side and an antenna connector on the other.

Will look see if the box is in the back first i set the timer to start but never put a stop time in but no stop time will that matter.
Cannot say i have heard the pump or seen any smoke under wing but never looked for it.

There are numerous black boxes back there... Laughing
The connectors will look like the ones in the pic - that's why I posted it.
No stop time, only start time.
