Coming in to work today I went past a supercharged (in my Td6 ) and when I looked in the mirror I got a surprise.

Standard side vents and front grille... but on the back it had the straight out pipes, supercharged badge and clear rear lights. G reg (probably private, dodgy spacing) facelift spec.

So, was it really a supercharged or is it a cut and shut?

A fake only half done by the sounds of it. Perhaps he started at the back and then realised the genuine SC grille wouldn't fit! Discovery 4 HSE

Was it a facelift front ie 2005+ as if not then i reckon RRUK / FFUK is correct although the SC side vents will fit pre facelifts

OR

Maybe he wanted to approach FFRRs from the rear and think it is a standard one so they will race and then give them a shock when he overtakes them to reveal that his is a SC?

It was a facelifted one, 2006 model onwards.

Then i am confused

Why would someone put on a Non SC grill and side vents when they look crap by comparison?

I remembered the plate and did a DVLA online enquiry.

It's a 2007 and it's a TDV8.

You still have to wonder why... got to be a 'work in progress'.
