bee's in the dash!

Ok I used the FF this morning with no problems, heated screen, seats and steering wheel all nice and toasty by the time I got to work.

So after I got home and parked up on the drive, didn't lock it, I just did my chore's before been taxi to pick up the kids....

NOW after a few hours I jump in the FF, key in ignition, turn, fire's up and runs sweetly, as the kids like toasty bums ( and I Mr. Green ) I put on mine and the passenger front and 1 rear heated seat's, turned heater on a little, foot on break into D and off....... loud BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ from the dash, I'd only moved 5 foot Shocked Big Cry WTF !

ok after turning the FF of it still did the BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
After restarting and reverse it back the 5 foot, ready to abandon ship an slum it in the D1 I turned it off once more and the BZZZZZZZZZZZing disappeared. Thumbs Up

Off again and all was well for the journey Thumbs Up

My question is what an earth was that about? anyone else had something like that? If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

it sounded as if it was an electrical buzzer from the speedo/ rev counter binnacle, when it first did it I turned off the heated seats, heater etc and it still carried on, so I turned off engine.....and it still Buzzed away ! Shocked If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Censored

Now you have mentioned that I have had that happen on my 90, many years ago, it does sound similar.... cheers Thumbs Up

Now have to have it happen again, oh I love intermittent faults NOT!

This has never don't this before but then the rear heated seats don't get used much as the kids slum it in the car or D1 or walk for the bus! Rolling with laughter If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Sounds like a fan struggling - there are quite a few behind the dash Smile That or the parking sensors just did what mine do now and again .... low buzz for no reason that gets quieter then stops Smile Land Rover Addict

I've had it too - IIRC its to do with the PDC, few people have had it but never gotten to the bottom of it, had it twice in 1 year

Seems to come up for a few people very rarely - nothing to worry about

Had something similar twice in 18 months, no faults, just a buzzing which slowly got quieter and then disappeared 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!
