Technician

Does any one know of any one in and around the Birmingham area who knows what they are doing on supercharged ranges. A lot of peeps ain't got a clue just doing trial and error cost me a bomb do far and prob still there ;(

Defender 90 2.4
Defender 110 TD5

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Buckingham Blue

Ultimate landrover in Netherton Dudley. I've used them for years they both used to work for landrover main dealers and know them inside out. My supercharge is in next week with them for a auto box flush and oil change. The difference between theory and reality is that in theory it will work.

Where shall I start??????

Basically getting a misfire detonation and holding back power feeling problem soon as I go over 2000 revs. Random misfires on both Banks.

Had coils checked
Had plugs changed
Had breather checked
Changed supercharger auxiliary pump
Changed supercharger seals, inlet outlet manifold seals changed throttle body seal changed

Some one else said just today his mate had a same prob as mine and apparently took it to some specialist Landrover place derby and had the ECU reprogrammed and prob solved I am pulling my hair out😬. Same problem on lpg and petrol. I feel like banging my head against a wall😞

a lack of power detonation (spark knock) rough idle hesitation/surge on acceleration.
The above describe my symptons to the point. The only thing I need to check is the barometric pressure.

I wonder if it could be a short in the wiring loom somewhere, like insulation off and touching.
If I was desperate, I would remove as many covers as I could and run it in the pitch dark to see if there was any evidence of sparks etc... Just a thought. Thumbs Up

Edit... Just as possible a bad connection or broken wire as well I suppose. Previously..

Well just had it back off the LPG fitter today he basically took out his fit and put it back and I gave him the the 5 seals to change sane prob and whilst it was there some one mentioned about the ECU upgrade. I am
Sure some LPG fitters actullly upgrade the ECU before they fit the gas. Well it's very frustrating for me 3 months prob persisting 😔
