Im really puzzelled 'm finally in a position to get my car converted to a newer look lifting from a 2004 to a newer 2010ish look

Also to make it even more confusing i'm in the position where me and my pal both want our motors done so theres 2 cars on the table for going under the knife as such

Mine being a 2004 4.4 V8 Petrol with Rear LED conversion done and wired and the newer side vents
His being a 2007 TDV8 Again already with the Rear lights and newer side vents

A year ago i was quoted £2000 plus VAT a year on the same firm now want 2500 +VAT per car

Another firm has just quoted £3600 for the TDV8 and £3718 for mine both include VAT

have the part prices gone up? Am i missing something? How hard is it to do it urself?

The parts have gone up in price quite radically when I was doing mine in May that's when there was price increases from land rover. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Thats quite drastic though surely and the other puzzling thing is were looking to have 2 motors done, ok i know mine needs a K&N and wiring adapters for the headlights but were looking to get them done this month if not next month
