Yet another alternator question...

Having changed my battery towards the end of last year for a Bosch unit, everything was fine until I went to start the car after work last night and everything was dead. Got a jump start and made it home.

Called the AA this morning who diagnosed a faulty alternator. It was showing less than 10 charge at idle and around 12 at fast idle.

I've had a look on Eurocarparts website and they list two different Denso versions for my 2007 3.6tdv8. As mentioned in the other recent alternator thread, one is a 6 please and one an 8pk. Nobody seems to be able to advise which one would fit my car? Do you guys have any clues?

I would also consider Advanced Factors but with the anticipated delivery charges, they work out to be more expensive than ECP dependent on which one would fit. Also, I have a physical branch round the corner from me so any problems could be dealt with quickly.

Check with Dan I'm sure if you pm him your vin he can match correct one. I thought there was only one type and it was the length of the belts that differed. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE
