2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I know not everyones cuppa tea but the new sport is a lovely looking bus. In this months caravan club magazine they give it pretty much 100/100% and only had a couple of small niggles. They don't do the major offroading tests that LRO etc will do but more real world test...with a loaded boot, towing capability - which for many is much more realistic...

A (much richer) neighbour has also made the jump from an X5M to a new RRS and is very happy. The rear seats seem to be a very popular sales factor.

I am sure you'll enjoy it Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Yes, the rear seats and leg room seem to be much improved on both cars, since they now have the same wheelbase it's another tick in the box.

In fact when I took al the measurements from the brochures the only difference is roof height +50mm higher on the bigger model and the wading and boot dimensions but it's minimal.

Like I've mentioned, if we don't like it we can always go full fat (are we allowed to call the 405 a FF yet? Very Happy )

Nothing is forever Exclamation

GJOB, my uncle just did this exact switch. He had a 2011 L322 S/C black on black and tested both the L405 S/C and RRS S/C. Ended up loving the exhaust note, interior, and overall appearance of the Sport more so he took it home. Might be a mid-life crisis but atleast he didn't get the red interior. Laughing He went with black on black again. What color combo did you end up ordering?

Very nice!

I quite liked Luxor for a change but the wife quite likes the idea of a bold colour as our current one is Black.

We've ordered the Chile Red with Black seats and Ivory dash and headlining to try and lighten the interior. It looks good - saw one in the flesh with the same interior but with a Grey exterior - happy with Red, but we have until the end of the month to change our mind and submit a final "final" spec.

Thumbs Up

Unnecessary quote removed

That is about the best spec you will see on a Sport in my opinion. Those 22" are stunning.

However, I can't get away from the back being like a pumped up Evoque. Sorry!

By the way, to UK readers, if I tint my front windows like that ^^^ am I gonna get busted?

2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

I have been driving a 3.0SDV6 AB in white with those same wheels for a couple of weeks.

Have to admit it is as far removed from the old sport as it could possibly be and drives fantastic. It goes back on Thursday and it will be a bit of a wrench. It will be interesting to see how my 07' TDV8 feels after a few weeks of new car driving. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

Fattie is in such great condition that it would be a shame to see it just end up going through the dealer system.

Now sold to a nice chap you'll love her as much as I do Thumbs Up
