Handbrake

Should the handbrake hold the FFRR if put in gear (D or R) on tick over or is it normal that it just moves off as if no brake applied. I assume that it should not pass an MOT like this.

I only found out when I wanted to try and test the front parking sensors last night as normally I never use the handbrake unless I want to test the TV and then the car is in P so not noticed. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

Clean and adjust properly should fix it. A common problem. There is a How-To over on Disco3 from a member "Bodsy".

Takes 20 minutes a side. Thumbs Up

Thanks,

As it came with a new MOT from the dealer less than 2 weeks ago and has not been used, except to test the TV operation I will try and get them to sort with the other problems I have found. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
