Alarm activation light

Hi, can any one help, I ve pick up my first ffrr today and love it so far, even enjoyed putting the £120 worth of fuel in, what I am unsure about is when I set the alarm (1 press of lock button) indicators flash once, doors lock and a light flashes on dash board, don't seem to have a light flashing on the rear view mirror as described in manual, its a 56 reg, my07 tdv8, do all FFRR have the flashing light under the rear view mirror? or is the flashing light on dash board the alarm indicator?
