More electrical gremlins :( Steering lock not working - help

Today's special problems:

1. Tyre pressure system fault.
2. Put key in ignition, turn key and no ignition lights. Ignition lights come on after many repeat actions.
3. Followed by transmission reduced gears etc,
4. When removing the key, steering lock doesn't engage.

Is this all connected to my luck electrical problems?

IID tool is on its way and if only it would stop raining i could check for parasitic battery drain with the meter. Ian

Ok 1-3 have disappeared for the moment. Anyone have any ideas about the steering lock not engaging. The only post I found was from RRUK, but I guess he sold his TDV8 which solved it Ian

crikey , its all happening for you Ian..

first thing i would do is to double make sure the battery is ok and the alternator is pushing out 14.5 volts on idle.....

after that, ?

What was the out come Ian ? Battery issue? If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Ian pulled and refitted a fuse on the tow electrics..
