Nearly There

What can I say well happy with the results of my late nights and weekends for the last few weeks. As some of you may have seen on another post this cat started out as a front damaged salvage car so it made sense to facelift it. I must say im glad I did. There is a couple of odd jobs to sort. the rear washers and wiper don't work so will need to investigate also
the rear lights need the disco fix fitting. Also if you read this Craig you were dead right I love the L405 wheels on the car they look totally at home.

That is a very impressive outcome, certainly doesn't look like a 2004 car. Thumbs Up
Just out of curiosity, how does such a modification affect insurance?

I rang my insurance company before I bought the car to ask the situation As I had two questions with the car being salvage and facelifted. With regards to repaired salvage in the event of a claim they said I would lose around 15% off normal pay out. As I have saved a lot more than that in purchase price I can suffer that no problem. With the facelift they didn't even want to apply a loading as all parts used are genuine Land Rover, What they did say is if the car was damaged they would repair back to original spec That is not a problem either because if it needs a bumper and headlights its written off and im losing 15%, Thanks Mick.

Thanks Mick Thumbs Up It does seem fairly common that modified cars are returned to original in the event of an accident and claim.
