What does warranty cover?

Well at last the car is ready - 5 days bill will be sunny side of £2k I no longer buy a third party warranty but what would have been covered?
Alternator replacement - yes.
Service & MOT - no
Rear bushes - don't know
Brake pipes front to back - don't know
Turbo hose - don't know

Anyone got a view? Would the third party warrant co say the last three are " wear and tear" or pay up? Geoff

Depends on the policy - recent quote I had was north of 800 a year and covered all wear and tear - lower priced quote at 200 a year only covered items that broke requiring a roadside recovery. As my FFRR is over 6 years old they also stated they would only pay 50% of the repair costs due to the age of the car.

Still deciding if it's worth it. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

I have a range rover extended warranty £855, it has more small print than a munchkins underpants washing label.
Like insurance firms if they can find a way out of paying they will.

Lr select doesnt cover stuff like

Bushes
Track rods
Electronicals such as nav
Wiper arms
External oil leaks incl transfer box.
Not an exhaustive list obviously.

Just decided not to bother renewing mine. Had the alternator swapped, gearbox seviced, diffs serviced and all the front suspension arms swapped on my own coin, perhaps the alternator would have been covered but had warranty had expeired when i did that. All that was still cheaper than the warranty. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I think the LR warranty cover might have changed from either "Approved" or "Select" to just the one warranty that is the same level of cover for all LR warrantied vehicles.
