God that wasn't easy trying to find a FF that hadn't sold or was closed on a Sunday. Off to Gloucester to have a ride.

Well the first time I drove a FF I was stepping out of a 5 30 BMW and I don't think I travelled more than a couple of hundred yards in the FF before I was converted. I bet you come back from your test drive with a big grin on your face and your mind made up. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20
I swear you will never see anything like this ever again....watch it..drink it in.

There are very few LR dealers open on a Sunday. They make more than enough money the rest of the week to not worry about people shopping for a car on Sunday... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Back from my test drive, mmmm for best part of 40k I expected a better presented car.
Bad points
Grubby interior.
Items left in car from previous owner.
Told car had flat battery so it has been running to make sure it started.
I was told it only had 10 miles of fuel so it would have to be a quick test drive.
Salesman main selling point was that it had dual screen tv and was a nice colour.
The carpets look like the one in the company canteen Sad is this normal?
3 owners.
Absolutely no movement on price even though they reduced the price earlier in the year but now they are worth more Surprised

Good points
The acceleration was immense compared to current disco 3.
The colour.
The ride.
The feel.

Go look at a proper one.

Most owners have carpet or rubber mats do the original carpet should be almost perfect and the interior shouldn't be grubby!

Mine was £12k and it was immaculate even as a trade in bar the lower tailgate not opening but that didn't bother me Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Right. So there you go, you need a FFRR.

Now you just need to find one you like that ticks all the boxes.

Use the one from today as a benchmark.

If you do fancy buying that one, give it a week or so, he may call you and move on price.

By the sounds of it, its either not been prepped for sale yet, which means you'll have seen it warts and all, or the dealer isnt bothered about how his cars are presented.

If I was spending that money, I'd want it spot on from the outset.

Have a look here, one of our site sponsors may be able to source a car for you if you know what you want ;

Yep you need to find a tidier one, there are nice ones out there and you need to get the one you want spec wise, otherwise it will bug you.

Cream interiors can get grubby with use, but should clean up well. I was in an evoque with a light grey interior which looked filthy even thogh it had only done 500 miles.

One which is properly prepared should feel like a practically new car! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Matthew

Come and see mine and take it out for a proper drive if you fancy. I'm only in Cardiff. Mine was in a bad way when i picked it up and that was straight from a dealer and i paid for GuardX to be done. Anyway the offer is there for you.
Have a look at my gallery and you will see how clean they can be.

Thanks for the offer Jayboy but bank insists on it being from a garage.

I understand cars have to be prepped for display but this didn't seem the case as it had been on the lot since Christmas.

The carpets seem odd as they were like a cheap floor tile, unlike my disco that has normal carpet.

As suggested I will take this as a bench mark but I will expect more if I'm to park with 40k.

Cheers
Matthew
