United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zermatt Silver
My old baby!

Heres my old beauty! 56 plate ford transit LWB 140PS.

Bought it for the workmen in the company but its medium roof, so they couldnt stand up. Plus, i thought why let them wreck it with machinery etc (road works company) so i kept it for myself, alongside my nissan navara. I took it to a professional modification company, and had some interior modifications done to it such as: 3 reclining italian leather seats, a table, carpets, new bulk head, and had the original 2 seat removed and a 1 seat swivel put in the front. Also 2 windows in the back (one on each side)

Looked very nice, very comfortable for passengers, so much leg room. Was such a shame to let her go, but was time for a bit of prestige as my previous "prestigious" car was back in 2006 with the Mercedes E320 CDI.

Had only done 25,000 miles, in perfect condition.

Check the pics out anyway Smile

The older shape ones really were the most uncomfortable Censored to drive/sit in. The newer ones still have some of the stiffest seat sponge I've ever experienced, but the seats are more adjustable and contour better... as if they were designed for actual people to use.

I miss the cushy Transit seat though, along with the wonderful armrest and the super-short throw gear change. Researching my first Range Rover purchase

Give me an Iveco with an air-seat. Very nice.
Otherwise a transit over a sprinter any day (baring in mind I had a Sprinter stolen Monday).

Unfortunatly we don't have the luxury of single Passenger seats in any of our vans - Both the Transits and the Mercs have crappy bench seats + Transits have bulkhead panels so there is less leg room up front.

4 x Merc Sprinters are being sent back next month thankfully - think we are considering Renaults at the moment as they are offering VAT free deal + 3yr Servicing package and are working out to be considerably cheaper than Transits (which seem to be getting much more expensive than they used to be?)

Nope. They drove 30 miles, stoped and ripped the tracker out.
Obviously they knew what they were doing.
As it took them a minute to take (literally) it I'm guessing they plugged in thier own ECU to override the alarm and immobiliser too. That's what it looked like on the CCTV.

On the positive side they drove past a camera near our yard and we now have a full frontal mug shot of the pair.
It's a small consolation, they may get caught.

Evil or Very Mad Thieving Censored 's

Bet you wish you could have caught them yourselves.

Sadly nowadays they are so quick at switching the ID's of these vehicles - I doubt if you will ever get it back
(at least not in one piece)

I hope this isn't going to cause you big problems with your insurance company on your remaining vans/minibuses.

Last time it went missing it appeared a few days later, so you never know.
They just took the ECU and a few other bits that time.

Does seem odd that the only vehicle we have ever lost in nine and a half years has been stolen twice, is the only mercedes we have and is also more unreliable that every other minibus we have. Makes me wonder if I really want it back... Laughing

It's covered in sticky sign writing, so they'll spend hours if they want to re-ID it getting all that off. Plus it's a bit unusualy, having a tail-lift for taking wheelchairs under the back. It'll probably end up as parts. Has that horrible semi-auto that merc used to fit.

On the insurance side, our claims are always less than 30% of our premium, so our cover is cheap. I doubt it'll be effected much at all. The insurance company always earn well out of us as we have 90 on the fleet.

Would be nice if the police match the mugshots up with someone they know... Smile
