Hi I have been using the drilled and slotted discs (bridpart DA4609) with EBC pads on the front of my FFR for about 5/6K miles and they seem fine. You will get some droneing sound on light braking which comes from the discs rather than the pads in my view. Not sure how they wear though.

Good value, yes, but not cheap.

+1 Martin, Thumbs Up

Cheap and brakes are not the best options!!

Adventure 4x4 stock different brands, Britpart, Delphi and Ferodo, all with different prices (i.e. cheapest to most expensive). When it comes to brakes, it's best to go for the best make and pay a bit more than the cheapest price (or better still, pay that bit extra Shocked for genuine LR discs and pads).

Couldnt agree more!

Gen brakes arent too pricey, something around £50 per disc and similar, maybe a bit more, on the pads for my 2008my. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

my previous owner fitted various mods, and one being front drilled and slotted discs. avoid them! they have a horrible at high speed pedal noise as the holes pass over the pad, like something is wrong! not what you want to 'feel' at the moment of panic. I shall be changing them back to solid next pad change.
there is a science that says the holes aid cooling.... but it actually (scientifically) lessens the contact area! therefore a downgrade in braking efficiency under normal (non track-day) driving.
