Hi,

Recently had the SC MOT'd and beforehand I changed all of the "upgraded" LED bulbs back to the factory/stock halogen/ incandescent bulbs to ensure the car passed without query from the testers. When removing the below LED sidelight bulb (which is a neat fit into the sidelight bulb holder) on replacing it with the original sidelight bulb, the driver's side OE bulb felt a little loose in the bulb housing and only came on with a bit of jiggling about. Anyway, the car has passed its MOT but when being driven with the OE bulb still in the other day, the driver's side bulb went off briefly before coming back on again so is obviously a bit loose in the holder.

Has anyone got a safe and quick easy fix tip please for stopping this OE bulb being intermittently loose?

I know its not a FF but our 110 had a bulb always pop out....quick fix was a match stick jammed between bulb and the holder it worked for a while but long term was to change the holder. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

i think the holder has two metal prongs that can be 'bent' out a bit so the bulb base fits more snuggly... ... - .- -.

Had the same, bought a new holder from Dan, much cheapness!

In my case it's obviously happened due to the tight fit of the LED sidelight and when reverting to the OE bulb, the holder has been prized apart a little more than originally.
