Has anyone on here used the compressor repair kit from bagpipingandy on fleabay. It looks pretty good and he has a good video on his web site showing how to. His site is the name above with .com. I didn't want to make a direct link on the page just in case I get in to trouble.
I am having loads of problems with my TD6 at the moment (so whats new you all say).I had the hard fault air sus inactive and had to get it reset by my local garage. The suspension had lowered on to the bump stop on the front driver side and the rear driver side had gone to the lowered driving mode. The passenger side was normal height. After fitting a new battery yesterday it still didn't come up so got it reset. I then had to forcefully rattle the spare wheel to get the compressor to pump and it sounded sh and really noisy. I set it to off road height and it eventually went up but not fully on the back driver side. I set it back to normal height and then drove it for a couple of miles and all corners went to normal height. I have now pressed the height button to lock it at the normal height.
So I am thinking this kit will fix it.
Any ideas.

buy the full kit from forum member meerbusch if he still has one. I think changing just the ring will not last long. He did mine last year, working as it should since. Goes from standard to offroad in a minute.

You may find its the wrong kit for your age of FF.

Hi Kingpleb, yes it is the MY 2005 that has the touchscreen Denison system.

Pretty sure our ones don't have repair kits

I ended up getting another unit and cleaning it up and refitting.

I may strip it down before I sell it and lube it a little as it will help seal it a bit more and slow down bite wear which is the big issue with these pumps.

If there was a lube type system for them it would be much better long term but would cost more  FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Steve if your keeping the car for a while sell the used one and use the new one. Newer ones are miles quicker. My used one came from an 08 ff and was a fair bit better than mine. My vehicle is the last before the facelift so would it not fall into the 2002 to 2005 range. Or is it one of those horrible hybrid b isation mix of old, new and whatever they could find to finish the last off.

If you take a picture of the unit under the spare wheel I think you'll find like me that you have most of the newer stuff including the pump good really as there are more about when it comes to fill units but not for a refurb  FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I bought the eBay kit with driers, I should have timed before and after results as it does nt seem much quicker. Expecting to have to buy a new one. Straight forward job. 2012 4.4TDV8 VSE
