How do I connect the headrest screens to my iphone

I have a 2006 Range Rover with the DVD autochanger in the boot connected to the screens in the headrests. The DVD player has packed up and I would like to connect my iPhone to the screens to allow the children to watch movies played through the iPhone on long journeys.

I should be grateful if someone could let me know how I can do this so I can set it up before the summer holidays.

Thanks

So assuming this has the 06> infotainment system there should be a set of DIN sockets in the back of the centre console. Under a flap to the right of the dual cigar lighter sockets. These are 2 sets of Red/White Audio and a Yellow video input and I used my IPOD on a genuine Apple cable which outputs in this format.

I did have some challenges getting the format of recorded media correct though. It was a real PITA to get it useable. If it were me I'd replace the DVD changer. They come up on the bay regularly enough.

Thank you for your quick response. There arethe sockets you suggest in the back of the centre console. I have a cable that enables me to use the audio facility and play music through my iPhone. Can you let me know what cable I should use/ but to connect to the yellow video input socket to the iphone.

As far as replacing the DVD changer, we now download our movies through Netflix or Amazon prime movies and these can be saved to your iPhone or iPad so, regrettably, we no longer have many DVDs and our two-year-old was getting a little bored of Thomas the Tank engine on repeat, As was I for two hours (I can still hear the music now). In any event, if it does not work I will take your advice and get a new changer. thanks again.

This is the one I have. USB into a cigar lighter power adapter, 3 RCA plugs into the correct sockets.

Not tried an IPAD. You might have gathered from my avatar that the apple products are not mine, they're SWMBO's Laughing

What I found with the IPOD (not the Touch, the older 80GB one) was it was hard to get the thing to output the correct format. I ended up having to use PC based software to convert the DVD's into crApple friendly formats. Utter nightmare to be frank.
