"Lovely cars, no doubt about that. The market is just not there though and whilst you should buy what you want for yourself I do think that it's wise to buy something that isn't going to be impossible to sell when you want out. As said already, people like to sit up high now and the overall image of these saloons is under pressure and heading to the next wave of "pub landlord" cars....."

Is that not why there are so many 3 year old cars appearing on the market, after their 36 month contract hire expires? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Yep, but it's the wrong time of year to be selling a 4x4. A mate of mine works for WBAC.com and they are purposely taking £xxxk off RRs and the like as it's simply not on people's minds. Come October is a very different story...... 2006 4.2 SC 2019 Renault Zoe Dynamique Nav ![]() |

You can contract hire a brand new 7 series for £600 per month over 2 yrs. Doesn't make sense to BMW though as a 6 month old ex demo car is <£33k when it was £59k.

And therein lies some of the answer. Since the glory days for BMW it seems Audi have gained significant ground, probably overtaken them, well definitely if you look at overall popularity.

The only car in the segment that seems to retain value is the S-Class, although all make very tempting ownership propositions after a few years….

Might be right re the drive, but I don't like being near the BMW dashes. Old and dull, like a tarted up 1980 3 series. Even the new ones. Maybe a bit harsh but you know what I mean... Graham

I got a lift home from friend in a S class. I think I upset him when I asked if it was an E class? |

£95,000 in the body of the advert as well. Nearly paying £1 for every mile it has covered. Also only a 3.0D would not even be worth that new with full options There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
