United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Buckingham Blue
Sunday Treat

Treated her today to x2 new tailgate straps (I couldn't believe how rusted the old ones where) I also fitted the updated tailgate release button and have her a good wash and wax.

I do love this car Thumbs Up

Thanks Muttley she has given me quite a bit of grief in the last 6 months of ownership and I'm never going to get back the money I've spent on her but hopefully all the niggles are sorted now. And it will be just general maintenance from here on in.

It makes me smile every time I drive it so I guess you have to have at least one pleasure in life. The difference between theory and reality is that in theory it will work.

I don't think you can own one of these without throwing money at it , I threw nearly 5k at mine a week after buying it but that unfortunately turned out to be a very unpleasant experience and if I said what I really thought about it I would probably be banned from the forum so best I resist the temptation to say any more about that Censored Censored

But what I will say it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it , would love to do some mods like new wheels and a custom exhaust but the funds won't allow that at the moment Big Cry

The best bit of news was the insurance renewal , the company I was with wanted £912.00 and then said they could give a massive discount down to £750 but thanks to A Plan I got it for £400.00 , was well chuffed with that Thumbs Up

I think of gone through much of the same experience. I've had a few Range rovers and most have had big problems I think there's a lot out there that have been neglected and not been maintained as they should. But hopefully now given the love she needs I hope I can enjoy the car without it keep going into the garage. I've also found insurance prices pretty sensible given my age.

There's no other car i would really want I've got a vw t5 that I use for for work and that's reliable comfortable and doesn't hurt the pocket, smart money would say stick to that but how ever good it is it's not a Range Rover. England 2011 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

Looking great with the waxing!

There are few cars that create the forgiving love affair that the Range Rover does. I had so many nightmares with my old classic but still dream of getting another. My L322 is a continuous project of improvements and tinkering, a money pit but a fun one at that and one I would not miss for the World...... Tom
