Well, more head scratching and I have concluded major surgery is involved, ie removing the sprung pin |

I was about to pull the trigger on a new set of handles but wondering if the stick on covers or painting may be the way to go. |

I'm tempted to go for an on-car (with handles pre-pulled and wedged,) a rub down, masking, prime and brunel grey repaint.
