I think I would be OK tapping and bolting. I am less confident getting the trim off undamaged and cutting the trim to fit the side steps.

trim panels come off easy, loads of screws to undo first, re cutting the panel.... it is already marked on the inside! cut mine by scoring with a Stanley Knife... easy ( the trim is all underneath... ) |

So I can see the car in its entirety, I want to add steps but I am concerned about the aesthetics. |
