Tidying up rear tow eye?

What's the best way to tidy up the standard rear tow eye? It's not flaking but has small areas of orange discolouration/ oxidisation and could look tidier. Any suggested treatment or prep and paint (brush or spray)?

Please/ thanks

I just brushed on some rust stabiliser and then a quick spray with some smooth Hamerite, did the towbar, exhaust box and visible suspension. Been done about 3 months and still looks OK, but at about £5 and 30mins or so happy to do every few months if necessary. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

I painted mine satin black after a quick wire brush, should be fine for a long while now. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

I brushed mine off with a wire brush and applied 2 or 3 coats of hammerite style paint, been done for a year now and looks as good as when I applied it Thumbs Up

Perfectionist Stan! Embarassed

Plenty options in every one of the replies. Thanks very much chaps.

How long have you had the SC Stan? ... I'm sure I've let this point of detail 'go' for a period longer than you obviously did (exhaust box spray was it?) ... Touche! Mr. Green
