Just had my supercharged vogue converted to LPG and the installer tells me that mine has 'active diagnosis' on it? Never heard of it before. Basically what he says is that if my engine light comes on, the car automatically goes into limp mode when normally they wouldnt?

He told me before the conversion when he has done the 4.2 supercharged the engine light normally would come on and just take it back for fine tuning, but if it comes on then car will jump straight into limp mode

Has not done it yet but just curious as to what this is?

Sounds like a load of bulls t so that he has a get out clause when the vehicle goes into limp mode

will go into limp mode if reduced engine performance 'bongs' up

or detection of misfire, both can be symptoms of badly tuned lpg system

it will not go into limp mode if the CEL comes on for rich or lean codes

who was the installation done by?

Local lpg installer who i have used for repairs but never an install

Come to think of it....i had engine light on 2 weeks ago when i run out of fuel! Ligjt came on after trying to start it a few times, code was 'fuel rail low pressure' or something but car was driving fine

I did get the bong and reduced engine power on a s/c 2 years ago.

Car runs superb on petrol and crap on lpg, so think his excuse is invalid! If it went into limp surely it would run that way on petrol too!

He is away on hol now but its going back when he returns

I had similar issues , and live in your neck of the woods just wondering if its the same chap?

learned how to remap and tune myself and its running perfect on both fuels now, although it has taken a while to get it right.

what system has been fitted , injectors and reducer and ecu?
