2003 L322 which detachable tow bar?

Hi All,

First off, are detachable tow bars suitable for cycle carriers?

If so, which make is recommended? Based in Manchester - recommended suppliers \ fitter?

Thanks

Yes they are - you have lots of options with the detachable, farmers hitch or even just the armature.

How many bikes ?

Do you need to tow at the same time ?

Do they have crossbars ?

Do you need access to the boot once the bikes are on the carrier ?

Do you already have a tow bar ?

Not essential - if a very cheap option Laughing would consider it

Both with and without.

Rolling with laughter FFRR tow bars are not compatible with that requirement Thumbs Up

I've tried everything over the years

IMHO The full on best option for what you want is a genuine Westfalia tow bar - either second hand or from PFJones - then a Thule rack that the bikes stand on - clamps to the tow ball - but even second hand you're probably over £500

Someone tried a boot mounted rack for 2 light''ish bikes - might work ok if the 3rd is a kids bike that could go in the boot ?

What's the budget ?
