Well, the first year of ownership 03 TD6 Vogue has flown by! It started off on a low when an intermittent (every 5 seconds) audio blip took around a month of investigation by the supplying garage. In the end a new lockset and immobiliser ECU was the fix, then the suspension pump failed. Luckily all this was covered by the 90 day warranty from the garage.
Next job was the removal of the window tints as these had gone purple with age. Replaced with new ones apart from the front windows where it was left removed. A local window tinting company did a great job. After this the I added the colour coded door handle covers.
This left it looking like this;
A service by Cam-Tech-Craig was next on the list, just before MOT time, where every fluid was changed and new rear discs and pads were fitted. Passed the MOT first time with no advisories
I've wanted to change the wheels since I first bought it as whilst they look ok, I preferred the later supercharged wheels. So last week I picked up a set of supercharged wheels with new tyres and used wheel nuts. An hour with some wire wool and Autosol and the nuts went from this;
To this;
Much better
I finally got round to fitting the wheels (and the triple wing vents) last Wednesday so it now looks like this;
I'm really pleased with how it looks and drives. Next job on the list is to fix the plastic panel between the bonnet and the windscreen as it buzzes at motorway speeds. Having come from a Discovery 1 and then a Discovery 2 there will always be one more job that needs doing
