Hey guys can anyone tell me what the colour and colour code is for the lettering on the bonnet as mine has started to rub off and I am wanting to do a touch as its annoying me.

Thanks

On early cars 2002 - 2009 the lettering was brunel grey, so it's likely that yours is this colour. On 2010 + cars it was Titanium Silver which looks much better Thumbs Up

My advice would be upgrade both the front and back to titanium Smile

Gone: Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue, Zambezi Silver, Charcoal Oxford Leather

Or take them off and spray them up, titanium silver bmw code 354, it don't take long to do and will look far superior to that brunel grey Thumbs Up

I took mine off and sprayed them with some Simoniz silver wheel paint and just stuck them back with some double sided tape - simples and cost a fiver all in (actually it cost nothing as I already had the paint and the tape). Don't forget to make a template or stick masking tape round them before you remove, also the after market ones I got and sent back (non-OEM), although cheaper do not have the curved backs required for a good fit on the bonnet.

Sounds like the BMW paint is the way to go but I didn't have any "in stock" Very Happy Geoff

Nick,
I also finished off with a coat or two of laquer, however the key thing is to make sure you get the template right for sticking them back on - you might notice from this pic the "G" is a bit wonky, but I left it as I've seen worse and its not as noticeable in the flesh (from thirty feet or so Very Happy )
