Towing Electrics

Has anyone ever fitted the universal towing electrics to a L322 2002 ? I know its not the done thing and I should have brought the correct RR kit but as normal i purchased first and asked questions later Sad

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
With all the electrical issues on a RR I wouldn't try this, you may regret plugging it in, sell it and get a genuine one, less than £100 when I bought mine

Hmmmm - wonder what the can bus system will make of a scotch block?? Big Cry

Get a plug in and consider it good value compared to getting all the resulting faults fixed - IMHO of course Laughing

I would have to agree with the dedicated one.

I fitted a tow bar and dedicated twin electric type myself a couple of months back. piece of cake and so much easier than chopping into your wiring loom.

Great price if it IS the Westfalia kit Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

You have made the right choice - no way would i put a generic kit anywhere near the electrics on one of these, tou are just asking for trouble and may as well take your wallet out of your pocket and set fire to it Rolling with laughter

Fitted mine a couple of months ago - other than getting the bumper off *ba Censored rd of a job), it was easy peasy. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)
