Hi guys
I want to fit a roof box and 2 adults bikes up top on the SC

any advice on what size box and which fittings work best to keep the bikes secured?

The next question then is how much weight can I safely put in this box?

I've always used Thule kit with no issues at all

They do roof bars, boxes and bike racks and it all locks together.

Yup. I was going to buy Thule as it by far seems the most popular for this kind of kit. And my logic days it must be pretty good stuff then... At least that's the theory

Any recommendations on what the largest box I can get and still fit 2 bikes up there?

I'm away at the moment so can't check, but I think I got mine from roofracks.co.uk - they had a feature to select the car and it told you what bars to buy - I guess from there it's just measuring - two bikes will go pretty close if you put one forwards and the other backwards.

Some places will key everything the same when you order - otherwise you can replace the barrels afterwards
